LANSING, MI — Local mom Gina Muldoon, who sources confirmed posts to Facebook an average of 137 times each day, shared her concerns on a Facebook mom's group that kids these days might be addicted to social media.
"I follow my kids' accounts and reply to every single one of their posts, and I think they might be addicted," Muldoon posted to the group. "What should I do? Also, here's a super funny Minions meme."
Social media addiction has become a serious concern for many parents, particularly for the chronically online who have read dozens of articles about social media addiction. Muldoon herself, with her ample experience online, said she knows online addiction when she sees it and does not want that for her kids.
"My oldest daughter made five different posts on Instagram this week," she went on to say in one of 20 different comments on the same online thread. "I think she might really have a problem."
When one of the other moms in the group pointed out that Muldoon may have a problem herself, she blocked her immediately.
At publishing time, Gina Muldoon shared a story online that she had a good, long heart-to-heart with her children about the issue in an online group chat.
