TOPEKA, KS — As the congregation of Redeemer Church sang "Great Are You Lord", the Holy Spirit patiently waited for the key change to hit before moving through the congregation.
Heavenly sources reported that the Holy Spirit bided its time, stoically waiting for the song key to go up a step in order to really maximize the effect.
"The Spirit can't show up too early, or it throws the whole song off," said a Heavenly source. "Let it start slow, get in a couple small crescendos and decrescendos. Hang on during the first, second, third, fourth, and fifth bridge. Then, when that key of C goes up to a D -- boom!"
Those present at the service described the Holy Spirit's timing as absolutely impeccable.
"It's just incredible how the Spirit always moves at that precise moment," said praise team backup singer Sarah Robinson. "The discipline and restraint it must take is remarkable."
At publishing time, congregants reported the Spirit stopped moving when the praise leader came back in at the mid-point of the chorus and made everything awkward.
