CANYON, TX - Local seven-year-old Brayden Rogers got totally exposed this afternoon as he suffered an embarrassing hoops beatdown against his father.
Jim Rogers exploited hole after hole in Brayden's weak game, from shaky offhand dribbling to abhorrent defending against spin moves in the paint.
"Brayden got totally shown up," said neighbor Bradley Larson, who watched the game. "Jim completely exposed him as a pretender. Brayden just couldn't deal with Jim's length or acceleration. He had no answers when Jim started banging bodies down in the post. It was humiliating."
Jim sportingly shook Brayden's hand after the 32-4 thrashing, basking in vindication. "My six-year-old kept saying Brayden was so good, maybe unbeatable. "I decided to be the bigger man though, and let the scoreboard do the talking. He is who we thought he was! What do you say now, little guy?"
At publishing time, Brayden had taken ownership for his awful performance and vowed to spend the offseason re-evaluating every aspect of his game.
