WASHINGTON, D.C. — Following the recent political violence in Minnesota, Democrats have come forward to urge all Americans to avoid inflamed, violent rhetoric unless it's against Trump, the next Hitler who must be stopped at all costs.
According to DNC Chair Ken Martin, Americans have a civic responsibility to use peaceful, non-violent speech to build up society, unless they're talking about Trump, who is essentially Hitler and who must be thwarted no matter what.
"On behalf of the DNC, I urge my fellow citizens to stop using inflammatory rhetoric," Martin said. "There is no call whatsoever for hateful or violent speech, except for when someone talks about Trump, who is probably Hitler, because he's an enemy of humankind and must be destroyed, regardless of the cost."
Other Democrats concurred, affirming that escalating political tensions with angry, harsh words is always wrong except for when those words demean Donald Trump.
"Our democracy is founded on principles of free, responsible, and ordered speech," said Cory Booker, a Democrat. "This speech must be protected at all costs, unlike Trump, who we could really do without, if you know what I mean."
At publishing time, Democrats had further urged people always to shun political violence except for when it is directed against Trump.
