ARLINGTON, TX — Cowboys fans expressed growing concern this week that another regular-season loss could jeopardize the team's opportunity to suffer a humiliating collapse in the first round of the playoffs.
Supporters warned that unless Dallas turned things around soon, the team could find itself watching the postseason from home instead of getting everyone's hopes up, choking in the first round, and then watching the playoffs from home.
"We have to start winning some football games if we want to the chance to embarrass ourselves in January," said lifelong fan Mike Hensley. "I would hate to give up on the Cowboys now instead of getting strung along all season. The glimpses of talent, the 11-6 record, the brutal meltdown, it's all part of our tradition. We have a reputation to uphold."
The Cowboys have struggled out of the gate, falling to a 2-4 record ahead of tonight's tilt against the Philadelphia Eagles. "It's been disappointing. This isn't what we expected from the Dallas Cowboys," said CBS sports analyst Kent Traylor. "They're supposed to play well right up until it counts, then completely choke it all away. They're running out of time to make it happen."
At publishing time, fans of the other 31 NFL teams had also expressed hope that Dallas would make the playoffs and play their team in the first round.
Tucker Carlson is just asking questions about World War 2. Why was it even fought? Was Hitler really such a bad guy? And why did Churchill never denounce the trans agenda?
