Getting a little tired of youth pastors teaching the Parable of the Talents and then asking you to go stack some chairs? Consider telling everyone you have the spiritual gift of encouragement.
This simple church hack can get you out of stacking another chair again, and it's 100% biblical. Think of it like cheerleading, except you can do it in modest clothing. Heck, you don't even have to show up to church if you can remember to text someone, "Hope you had fun stacking chairs, bro. I know you'll do a great job."
It all goes back to the Bible. Barnabas was called the Son of Encouragement. That's a fact. And he never once stacked a chair. Yes, he did a lot of other stuff, but he never once stacked a chair. That wasn't a thing back then.
So, the next time someone tries to tell you that Barnabas would be stacking chairs today, just tell them they shouldn't bind something on you that's not in the Bible. In fact, you can encourage them not to do so. That's your spiritual gift, after all.
It's not like Chad is so much better for stacking chairs. He might get a lot of credit, but we are ultimately judged by what's in our hearts and not how many chairs we stack. Just keep on dishing out the encouragement. Your recognition will be in Heaven.
