WACO, TX - Everyone is chipping in to help fight coronavirus, and now reality TV stars and home remodelers Chip and Joanna Gaines are ready to do their part. The Gaineses have committed to manufacturing over one million medical masks entirely out of discarded shiplap from their various building projects.

The shiplap masks will come in a variety of finishes, stains, and colors. Best of all, when this whole thing is over, you can recycle by installing them in your home for a beautiful shiplap accent wall. The masks are solid wood, so there's no chance you can get a virus through them.

"We're just trying to do our part with the resources God gave us," Chip Gaines said. "We had a giant mountain of this shiplap stuff left over from our various projects, and we figured it would be a great way to give back a little."

Joanna indicated that she's the one who's actually making all the masks while Chip just breaks stuff with a sledgehammer nearby. "We're a great team," she said. "I love having an eye for design and little flourishes, and Chip is really good at smashing stuff."

"These masks will really make a great accent piece -- very open concept," Joanna said. "They just provide such great flow. I mean, not for the virus or anything -- just visually speaking."
