MONTROSE, OH — Despite her passing, local family pet "Miss Dixie" continues to live on as the WiFi password for the household.
Though saddened to depart this world, sources say the dog was comforted by the knowledge that her name would live on whenever someone new needed to access the WiFi.
"Oh no, I always remember the WiFi password," said Rhonda Roten, jotting it down for a niece who was visiting. "I'll never forget her, that sweet dog. And, I'll never forget our password. Pretty handy."
The little Maltese dog was the family pet for just shy of eleven years, arising to become the WiFi password at year six. "The grass has grown over her little burial site in the backyard, but the WiFi password is always fresh," said Dean Roten. "She will always be with us, in the air, somehow allowing our devices to connect to the internet. I miss that dog."
At publishing time, a security update had forced the family to change the WiFi password to "55937$Miss_Dixie_723#&11".
