JUDEA — With his fellow apostle scoring nicknames from Jesus like "The Rock" and "Sons of Thunder", the Apostle James admitted to feeling a tad bit disappointed with being christened "The Lesser".
Though understanding the message behind the moniker, James confessed that he was really hoping for something a little more hard-core.
"Man, 'The Rock' is just so cool and gangster," sighed John. "Couldn't we have gone with something like 'The Mountain', or 'Bane of Demons'? I know there are two Jameses to keep straight, but it's a little disappointing to be honest. It just, ah, doesn't have quite the same ring as 'The Rock'. Friggin' Peter."
According to sources, the other disciples couldn't help but snickering at James's new endearment. "Hey, 'Lesser', pass me the olives," giggled Andrew. "Thanks. Alright, let's see who's on cleanup duty after dinner tonight. We've got 'The Rock', 'The Zealot', 'Sons of Thunder' and... oh yes, 'The Lesser'. Oh man, I'm so sorry."
At publishing time, James had divulged that he was really hoping for the nickname "Bone Saw".
