RANCHO CUCAMONGA, CA — Local man Gary Nielson was having a great time on his phone, until the ads he was watching were briefly yet rudely interrupted by the mobile game "Tetris Blast."

According to Nielson, he had been peacefully wading through minutes of frenzied advertisement only to be startled by the sight of the mobile "Tetris" remake.

"I was midway through a commercial for 'Mahjongg Ultimate Smash Hero' when this stupid little screen popped up and made me start playing Tetris," Nielson complained. "I tried to hit the little x button to make it go away, but it was so small that all I did was accidentally drop one of those stupid S-shaped blocks in the wrong place and totally messed up my setup. Worst of all, when I finally got the "Tetris" to stop and go away, I'd missed the best part of the ad. What a waste of time!"

According to Nielson, the problem has recurred over and over again with almost every mobile game he's ever played.

"I'll just be happily watching the latest 'World of Warcraft: Ultimate Tankdom' ad when all of a sudden, I get this stupid pop-up gameplay screen that won't go away. It's absolutely terrible. Someone needs to get these developers under control."

At publishing time, Nielson had gotten even more frustrated after finding out that he'd run out of the free version ads and would have to pay extra to not be interrupted by yet more "Tetris Blast."
