PROVO, UT — Local wife Allie Goodman told her husband that she identified with all five of the common "love languages," and she was not sure which one she wanted today, but he was just going to have to guess.
"I like gifts, and physical touch, and words of praise," Allie told her husband Alex. "Honestly, I like them all at any given time, but I'm never sure which one I'll be in the mood for next. Give it your best guess."
Alex Goodman told friends it could be tricky to figure out which of the love languages his wife might be feeling on any particular day.
"Let's see, there's quality time, and words of affirmation, and acts of service, and, gosh, I forget," Alex said. "Sometimes, Allie is in the mood for some good old-fashioned words of affirmation. But then other times, when I say lots of affirming things to her, she'll tell me she's actually in the mood for some acts of service. It's hard to know, really."
The Goodmans said they're probably not alone in this issue, and Alex said many of his fellow husbands express similar feelings of confusion.
At publishing time, Allie said she was in the mood for physical touch… oh wait, no…house about trying a gift… no wait… she actually would like to be affirmed with words.
