If you’re part of a Christian denomination (and I bet that you are-- I just get that feeling about you), then you’ll know one of the things Christian denominations are best at is making fun of other Christian denominations. Presbyterians make fun of Baptists, Baptists make fun of Methodists, and everybody makes fun of Catholics. But, amazingly, we all get along pretty well.
One Sunday at my Southern Baptist church, we had a Presbyterian minister as a guest speaker. We called him the pastor of the “frozen chosen,” and he threatened to run to the nursery and baptize a bunch of our infants. But while he was speaking, and saying that he was going to keep his remarks short because he knew the church was "just our excuse for another pot luck," not once did I turn to the person next to me and say, “Hey, he’s making fun of our culture! We should burn his house down and make sure his children never get jobs!”
