U.S. — Alternative rock band Weezer has been dubbed the "Most Just OK" band of all time following a vote by fans who describe the band's music as "just OK."
The results come from a poll conducted by Rolling Stone in which users chose the "most just OK band" out of a list of several thousand. Weezer was able to beat out such okay bands as U2, Imagine Dragons, Maroon 5, and Ringo Starr & His All-Starr Band to be the most just OK band in history.
"They're okay," said one fan. "I have all their albums. I love putting them on when I'm in the mood for something that's just sort of okay, you know?"
Lead vocalist Rivers Cuomo said it's an honor to be respected as an okay band, but to be the most OK is truly a blessing. "I can't thank the fans enough for just kind of liking us. It's what makes working so hard on okay music so worthwhile."
At publishing time, Bono of U2 expressed disappointment that his band wasn't even good enough to be just okay.
