CHINO, CA — A casual greeting between two local men quickly turned disastrous, ensnaring them in an infinite loop of saying, "I'm good, man, how are you?"
According to witnesses, Raymond Sheffield greeted longtime "bro" Sam Bilson in the early morning hours of April 23. But when Bilson replied, "I'm good, man, how are you?" the pair got stuck saying the same phrase back to each other over and over again.
"I'm good, man, how are you?" Bilson reportedly replied, prompting Sheffield to answer, "I'm good, man, how are you?" This, in turn, prompted Bilson to say, "I'm good, man, how are you?"
Hours reportedly passed before bystanders became aware that the two bros had gotten themselves stuck in a loop with no end in sight. Police responding to the scene were said to be at a loss as to how to handle the situation. "Moving them might break the loop, but they haven't broken any laws," said Officer Darren Kirkpatrick. "Legally, I can't lay my hands on them."
At publishing time, it is unclear how good Raymond Sheffield and Sam Bilson were actually doing, given that they are still stuck greeting each other on the corner of Benson Avenue and C Street.
