WASHINGTON, D.C. — Donald Trump's devout Christian faith is being called into question following an interaction with the press where he used a curse word instead of saying "fudge."
Trump let an f-bomb drop Tuesday when discussing relations between Israel and Iran. The cursing event was broadcast live, giving parents little time to cover their children's ears to protect them from the verbal sin.
"I just can't believe he would say that," said Sally Holes, a Christian and Trump supporter. "It doesn't seem like him at all. I hope he repents and washes his mouth out with soap."
In Christian culture, cursing is frequently frowned upon, particularly when using a naked f-word without the "fudge" covering.
According to sources, Trump's favorability has dropped sharply among Christians who can't believe he didn't at least say "frick."
"I've never heard him talk like that," said Pastor Barry Brown of Baptist Creek Church. "We are all imperfect sinners, but if he can't even say ‘frick' or ‘freaking' or 'fudgecicle' or ‘fundamental' then he has no business calling himself a Christian, let alone the president of the United States."
At publishing time, Trump's approval ratings went back up after he stubbed his toe and said "Argh, you fun loving table!"
