NAPERVILLE, IL — A local seeker-sensitive church was attracting a lot of attention this week with an exciting new ad campaign featuring Sydney Sweeney.

The actress appears on posters, billboards, and even a banner hanging on the church building itself, encouraging users to visit the church. The pastoral staff was said to be confident that the ads would lead to a noticeable increase in attendance.

The campaign's reception was mixed, with some expressing confusion regarding the apparent message it conveyed. Images feature Sydney Sweeney beckoning the viewer with a single outstretched finger and a seductive expression. In addition to featuring the church name, print ads included a perplexing slogan that simply read: "Walk With Me."

"I'm not sure if they want me to go to church or go to Sydney Sweeney, but whatever it is, I'm there," said local man Andrew Mortensen.

Church leaders were reportedly happy with the response the ads had received. "We're getting a lot of engagement on social media," said one member of the church board. "Mostly from men, but still."

Sweeney was reportedly paid $1 million to appear in the campaign, and Senior Pastor John Lament says she was worth every penny. "Not everyone likes it, but they're talking about our church, and I think that's what Jesus wants."

At publishing time, Center Pointe Crossroads Church was facing allegations of contributing to temptation just to get people into the pews, to which Pastor Lament replied, "Is that bad?"
