U.S. — The United States Post Office issued a reminder Tuesday that this is the last day for packages to be delivered if you want them to arrive by Christmas 2037.
"The Christmas season is the busiest time of year for the USPS, and that's why you must get your mail in the mailbox as soon as possible," said Postmaster General Louis DeJoy. "Otherwise, your item will end up at the back of the line for arrival by 2038 or even 2039, pending postman strikes."
The postmaster general would also like to remind all customers to avoid mailing perishable goods because your Christmas fudge is going to be as solid as a rock in a decade.
"Between delivering leftover mail-in ballots, coupons to Sam Goody, and 2018's Christmas cards, we're really overloaded right now," said DeJoy. "Please be understanding while we play catch up here."
At publishing time, the USPS had updated their reminder to inform everyone that it is now too late to get the 2037 Christmas mail delivered.
