Hey Bee family!
Outside of time spent doctoring and dreaming up headlines for the Bee, my days are mostly spent chasing around two extremely precocious, awesome kids. We have a five year old and a 20 month old, and I've never spent days laughing as hard or working as hard as I do now.
Our kids, bless them, do not require 'sleep' - our daughter gave up naps completely by the time she was 18 months old. Activities that are supposed to wear kids out only seem to make them stronger. They go full throttle until we put them to bed, at which point they sing, read, and jump on the bed until at some point they apparently pass out.
We are always on the lookout for great parenting hacks to help with our little tornadoes. Our kids love to draw, but it's hard to fit both of them and their supplies anywhere except the dining room table. This leads to incredible creations, like maple syrup mixed with glitter. So recently we discovered the simple trick of pulling out a roll of butcher paper each day to cover the entire table. It's part tablecloth, part art canvas - plus, we've found that older kids (and adults) who come over like to leave messages and drawings behind too.
