FT. WORTH, TX — Local millennial Chad McCallister finally figured out how to appropriately use "6-7" in casual conversation, thus effectively ending the popularity of the fad.

Experts confirmed that the internet meme, slang, and hand motion that swept through the culture over the past year was almost immediately brought to the brink of extinction as soon as McCallister got the hang of it.

"Hahaha….six seeeeeeeeven," McCallister said to his teen daughter. "Siiiiix-seeeeeeven. Hahaha. I totally get it now."

After hearing her father use the term appropriately, McCallister's daughter, Becca, immediately texted all her friends and told them the meme was dead. "It's over, shut it down."

McCallister had been trying various versions of "6-7" for weeks with no luck, much to the amusement and delight of his teen children. They reported spending a significant amount of time laughing with their friends about how out of touch their 42-year-old dad was whenever he tried to use the "6-7" phrase in any context.

"I realized, there is no context for that stupid thing," McCallister said. "You just say it and laugh, like you know something the person next to you doesn't. It's an inside joke that no one really understands, and that's how you use it."

At publishing time, McCallister had also single-handedly ruined the phrases "brain rot" and "looksmaxxing" for his kids as well.
