U.S. — Local man Trevor Woden accidentally came out of the closet earlier this week by responding to a text from one of his friends within 24 hours.
According to Larry Newtson, Woden inadvertently displayed one of the telltale signs of homosexuality by responding to the text "Anyone up for poker this weekend?" in less than one day.
"I was blindsided by Trevor coming out, dude," Newtson said. "I mean, I knew he liked kombucha. Oh, and he talked sometimes about joining the Navy. So, there were signs. Still, it was a real shock when he responded to my text within just a few hours."
While Woden has tried to explain away his fruity response by noting that Newtson had "just texted him at a really good time," no one is buying his excuses.
"This explains why Trevor always added sugar and cream to his coffee," said Bobby Howard, another one of Woden's friends. "It all makes sense now. He would bring birthday presents, like, wrapped. I should have known."
At publishing time, Woden's gayness had been again confirmed after he responded to a text with a little heart emoji.
