DANSVILLE, NY — The Rodgers family reportedly recruited a social worker to help moderate what turned out to be an emotional intervention for Steve Rodgers, a 40-year-old man who has persisted in wearing skinny jeans.
"Steve, you're not a naive 22-year-old youth pastor anymore," his wife said during the emotional meeting, according to sources. "It's time to put away childish things."
"Yeah, it's a bad look for you, dad," chimed in Ginger Rodgers, 14. "It's embarrassing to be seen with you."
The local family's intervention is reportedly inspiring others to confront the fathers in their lives about the skinny jeans they keep wearing. "The truth is, a father's fashion is frozen in time from when they last cared bout it: their high school senior year," said clothing expert and part-time social worker Sheila Glenton. "It's important for families to confront these wayward men about their pants."
The intervention reportedly ended well. Through tears and pangs of guilt, Rodgers reportedly came around on how bad his skinny jeans looked.
