U.S. - McDonald's has long served kids its trademark Happy Meals. Today, Burger King countered with a series of meals showing a wide range of emotions.
Now, Chick-fil-A is throwing its hat in the game with the unveiling of the chicken sandwich restaurant's new Joy of the Lord Meals.
"McDonald's Happy Meals might make you happy for a fleeting moment, but Chick-fil-A's meals contain the infinite joy of the Lord in every delicious bite," said a spokesperson. "As you consume our nuggets, waffle fries, and milkshakes, you are being transformed more and more into the image of our savior, Jesus Christ."
The meals will come with small Gideon Bibles to ensure children receive the true joy of the Lord in the gospel, as well as action figures featuring heroes of the faith.
"Your kids will love collecting the action figures of famous pastors like John Piper, John MacArthur, Jonathan Edwards, and even a few who aren't named John," the spokesperson said.
The Joy of the Lord Meals are $4.99, though Chick-fil-A reminded its customers that what's inside is of "infinite value."
