AUSTIN, TX — Two Christian friends recently resolved to just get dinner together in Heaven sometime after they missed their third rescheduled get-together.
According to sources close to best friends Ross Miller and Nate Yeager, the pair had been desperately trying to find a time to go out for a quick meal together ever since Nate got engaged back in their junior year of college.
"It's just easier to plan it this way," Ross allegedly told his wife after the reschedule. "First there was Nate's move back in '07 and then we had another couple of kids, and then Nate got that new job in... 2013 or something. Anyway, we know we'll definitely have a chance to finally get that dinner with each other once we're all in Heaven — I mean, we'll have all of eternity to make sure it happens."
While the friends were said to be "awfully disappointed" that they couldn't make it work this time, they looked forward with great expectation to that day when faith becomes sight, the Church sings praises to God Almighty, and calendar conflicts become a thing of the past.
At publishing time, the two men had decided to make a fourth attempt to reschedule their dinner together here on earth after their wives were able to get coffee together three times in a week.
