PEMBROKE PINES, FL — An adventurous gourmet with an eye for rare edible treasures was reportedly eager to sample the exotic delicacies of the Far East at local Chinese buffet Super Dragon #1.

Larry Holden, a foodie with an Instagram following of three, visited the buffet on Thursday as part of his quest to explore the mysteries of the Orient, with his sophisticated palate as his guide.

Super Dragon #1, reportedly the number one spot for all-you-can-eat Chinese in the area (according to Yelp), offers Chinese favorites, seafood, and even a few American dishes, creating a fusion experience unlike any other. In Holden's mind, it was the perfect place to try a little bit of everything China had to offer.

"Such delectable dishes," Holden said, describing his experience. "They serve a dish called chow mein, which you could mistake for Chinese spaghetti, but it is more of a base for the rest of your entrée. Exquisite!"

According to the wait staff, Holden spent nearly two hours carefully examining the various foods on offer and asking employees for the history behind the dishes.

"The servers leave much to be desired, however," Holden wrote on Instagram. "They wouldn't bring me food, so I had to go get it myself. It must be some ancient custom from a different culture. And there was no Peking duck available, which I found surprising, as I had read much about its prominence among the Orientals."

He added, "But the orange chicken is simply to die for. Such exotic food I have never before savored. A true triumph for the taste buds."

At publishing time, Holden was unavailable for comment, as he had been in the bathroom for over an hour.
