LAS VEGAS, NV - With fight fans pining for what has been dubbed "the billion dollar fight" between MMA superstar Conor McGregor and boxing legend Floyd Mayweather, oddsmakers reported Friday that they have pegged the chances at 25-1 that Jesus Christ returns in glory before the two ever step foot in a ring together.
"Though there has been endless media speculation, a clear interest from fans on both sides of the aisle, and the promise of a massive payday for each fighter, the super-sized egos of everyone involved will continue to make this deal nearly impossible to ink," said Bovada sportsbook manager Michael Lorenzo. "Our -2500 line on the Son of God returning bodily before this fight gets made reflects these facts."
UFC boss Dana White reacted to the news Friday afternoon. "Conor's a special kid. He's stepped up for us plenty of times before, so listen, I really want to make this fight happen. But the Lord can return at any moment, so, you know, we'll see."
Reports also confirmed Vegas odds of 100-1 that the Lord will flood the earth again before Nate Diaz ever gets $20 million for a fight that's not against Conor McGregor.
