CENTREVILLE, VA - Local music lover and DC Talk megafan Eric Powell admitted to sources Monday he wonders what people will think when they hear that he sailed on the 'Jesus Freak Cruise' in the Bahamas last week.

Powell, who purchased his tickets for the cruise over a year ago, rhetorically asked reporters "What will people do when they find that it's true?" after he embarked on reunited Christian rap group DC Talk's junket to the Caribbean, along with dozens of their biggest fans.

"I mean, the high and lofty, they see me as weak, 'cause I won't live and die for the power they seek," Powell lamented to sources upon his return from a fun-filled excursion to several tropical ports of call, featuring nightly concerts from some of CCM's most popular artists.

At publishing time, Powell was telling his friends he didn't really care if they labeled him a Jesus Freak Cruise attendee. "There ain't no disguising the truth," he emphatically added.
