Nick Cannon Quits 'Masked Singer': 'I Need To See A Person's Skin Color Before I Pass Judgment'

U.S. - Nick Cannon has stepped down from his position as host of The Masked Singer, saying he doesn't know how to judge someone's singing voice without first seeing the color of their skin. The move comes just days after Cannon totally owned white people on his podcast, calling them "sick animals," and "rotten little mountain people."

"The idea of this show -- that someone's appearance doesn't matter -- goes against everything I believe."

"I can't do this job no more," Cannon explained on his podcast. "If I can't see the person's skin, how am I supposed to figure out how to treat them? And how can I trust the judges? I quit. Right now. I'm done."

Cannon claims hosting The Masked Singer has made him feel sick to his stomach on several occasions, and that he has considered leaving for quite some time now.

"It literally makes me feel sick, man," Cannon explained. "You know what I mean? It's like, going out there on that stage, you know, I think to myself like, behind any one of those masks it could be a white person. Or even a Jew! They could be right there and I wouldn't even know it. Gives me the willies."
