LEXINGTON, KY - A man who leaned over to whisper to his friend, asking about the Thursday night football game's score during a passionate sermon on Revelation 19 by Paul Washer, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to a police report filed Friday morning.

As Washer powerfully described the splendor of Christ's future return in judgment at a special Thursday night service at Grace Baptist Church, the man began to get antsy, and reportedly poked his friend to ask how the Jets were doing in their matchup against the Bills. But just as the distracted churchgoer began to ask how his favorite team was faring in their weekday game, Washer slammed the pulpit with both his hands, pointed directly at the man, and growled, "You will know them by their fruit!"

According to witnesses, the inattentive man immediately began to seize and convulse, and fell to the floor. Although an ambulance was called, it was too late, as the man was apparently killed on the spot, at the exact second he purposed to speak during the renowned preacher's impassioned message.

While Washer did briefly pause his sermon to ask if the man was okay, once he was told the man had passed away, he simply nodded, said a quick prayer for his family, and continued his fiery sermon to an exceedingly attentive audience.
