HEAVEN—The lineup for the fast-approaching Marriage Supper of the Lamb has just been announced, and Christian metal fans couldn’t be happier. In addition to the spectacle of the great multitude from many nations praising the eternal, living God for His great gift of salvation, ’80s hair metal band Stryper will reportedly be performing an opening set on the main stage.
“We couldn’t be more stoked,” frontman Michael Sweet told sources. “To be opening for an event like this is a dream come true. The gig should rival the excitement and energy from our To Hell with the Devil tour, for sure.”
The lineup for the wedding festival at the end of all things has been kept under wraps for years, but suspicions began to rise earlier this week when Sweet posted on Twitter, “Stay tuned for a BIG @Stryper announcement soon! It’ll be HEAVENLY! 🙂 🙂 🙂 .” Insiders tell us that Stryper edged out competing acts Petra, Saint, and Hillsong for the honor.
The guitarist and frontman is not dropping any setlist hints just yet, but when pressed for details, lead guitarist Oz Fox responded, “Let’s just say fans of Soldiers Under Command will not be disappointed.”
Whether the material comes from classic Stryper records or their more recent releases, believers from every tribe, tongue, and nation are in for a treat as the metal band lets their hair down for one final Yellow and Black Attack.
